City Council

What Richmond City Council is working on

Every ordinance and resolution is a piece of legislation a Council member or the Mayor put forward. This page tracks the ones introduced over the past two years — who sponsored each, where it sits in the process, and whether it was adopted, is still moving, or did not pass — so you can follow what your Council is doing without attending every meeting. Each item links to the City's own record on Legistar.

Patron

1,092 matters

Source: the City of Richmond's Legistar legislative record, captured daily. “Sponsored” means a Council member or the Mayor is recorded as a patron. A handful of older administrative ordinances (street and alley closings, encroachments) were re-dated by the City into the recent window during digitization; these carry no patron and appear only under the “No patron” filter, not in the default view.

This list covers Ordinances and Resolutions from the past 24 months. Historic-district design reviews (Certificate of Appropriateness) and Board of Zoning Appeals cases have individual pages but no browse list here yet; older legislation isn't listed yet either. This surface is not yet indexed by search engines — a deliberate choice while it gets its first real-world use.
