Six departments route requests through 311 but don’t have dedicated pages here. Four of them (DSS, DOF, HSD, OADS) handle exclusively private records — we show aggregate volume only, never individual detail.
Volume on this page works differently than on the DPW or DPU pages. Most of these records are people reaching the City for benefits, tax questions, or services — not complaints about infrastructure. We publish the counts so the picture of 311 is complete, but they shouldn’t be read the same way as a backlog of potholes.
Geographic data isn’t available for any of these six departments — the City’s system doesn’t record a neighborhood for these request types, so there’s no by-geography view to link to here.
DPR (Parks) handles relatively few 311 requests, and requests are sometimes reassigned across departments. Rates here rest on smaller denominators than the larger departments and can move more from one period to the next.
