Description

I am requesting assistance for this area with speeding. Currently there are big orange cones to keep people from crossing the lines but we need a better option to keep our children going to school and the community center. Traffic calming measures are needed.

I will send this speeding complaint to the Third Precinct motors unit for handling. Part of this complaint is also regarding traffic calming. Traffic calming is handled by the Department of Public Works in which I will make a referral.

Multiple projects are underway at and around Westover Hills Elementary School. * sidewalk improvements * bike lanes * raised crosswalks * bump-outs (curb extensions) to shorten crossing distance * safety camera to automatically enforce speeding Separately, Richmond Public Schools is planning a re-design of their pick-up/drop-off area. RPS has been using the orange cones as temporary traffic control until the construction projects are complete.
