Description

With extremely low water levels in the river, the concrete footing of one of the piers of the railroad trestle (I believe it is called the Rivanna Subdivision Trestle) adjacent to Brown's Isle is visible, and it appears to be heavily eroded around the base. This is a major structural element of the trestle, but I have zero expertise to say whether or not the damaged area is load-bearing or merely cosmetic.
