Description

This Broad St area is a major choke point with 14th St, lane collapse, exit merge, GRTC Bus lanes, & regular Broad St traffic. The "ability" for the exit traffic to turn left onto Old 14th St creates a dangerous situation for all. Vehicles merge nearly 90 degrees over two lanes, within 100' to turn left onto Old 14th. Strongly consider eliminating the left turn at Old 14th & marking the left lane at Governor St for left turn (auth. vehic. only)/U-turn/straight option to allow for a safer merge

You suggested the city eliminate the westbound Broad St left turn movement at Old 14th St and have this traffic turn left turn or U-turn at Governor St. Left turns and U-turns are currently prohibited at Governor St. The next legal left turns/U-turns on westbound Broad St are at N. 8th St. The elimination of the left turn at 14th St is not planned.
