Description
It is unbelievable the number of cars that blow through the stop sign here and the next block. With so many neighbirhood pedestrians, this is so unsafe. Traffic has greatly increased since Flagstaff car wash became operating in the area. Is there a way to have them exit toward Broad Street? Or can we put flashing stop signs or speed bump?

- Staff · July 14, 2026Sauer Ave between Broad St and Monument Ave stops at Broad St, Augusta Ave, Cutshaw Ave, W. Grace St and Monument Ave. The average speed on Sauer Ave between Broad St and Monument Ave ranged between 13mph – 16mph in a 25mph zone. Traffic calming measures such as speed tables are not currently planned. Flashing lights is a capital improvement and not in the Adopted 2027 Budget for Richmond. Contact the Richmond Police Department (804.646.5100) to report motorists running stop signs.
