Description

The pedestrian signal to cross the west side of Cary St @ Belmont doesn't work efficiently. It only shows the white walk sign for about half of the time that Cary St traffic is stopped at the car red light. Much pedestrian time is wasted waiting at this light for no reason, when it's safe to cross but they're responsibly following the signal. Alternately, some pedestrians distrust this signal and cross haphazardly which is a safety concern.
