Description

There is an abandoned fire hydrant on the sidewalk. Students took it and placed it in their home and sat in on the sidewalk during move out

    The Department of Public Works investigated the reported fire hydrant located on the sidewalk adjacent to 806 Norton Street and confirmed that the hydrant remains present at the location. Based on the field review, the matter has been referred to the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) for corrective action. DPU has reviewed the issue and advised that they will address the matter. DPW will continue to coordinate with DPU and monitor the situation until the hydrant has been removed or otherwise properly handled.
