Description
24 E. Broad is a private business providing Independent Living Apartment services to young adults and we also have a non- profit thrift store. Shortly after we moved to this location in 2022 a representation of the City of Richmond Public Works recommended we invest in a dumpster. We contracted with a local waste management company and also hired someone to clear the area weekly from trash discarded on ground around the dumpster: signs have been placed around the dumpster and we have cameras installed. Local businesses who we have suspected using our dumpster have been contacted and requested not to use the dumpster. Today while viewing cameras someone placed around 30 bags of trash in our dumpster. He initially came with a rolling cart and later with a truck. I have tried to upload the pictures but it is too large and I will need someone to assists to reduce and will send on Monday. This has been very frustrating for us and we have made efforts to do our due delligence in maintaining the area. Thank you and pictures will be sent on Monday.
