Description

Many pedestrians (of all ages) cross the streets here. At all times of day. Amphitheater shows, belle isle hikers, parents taking small children to the library downtown. In order to stay on the sidewalk along 2nd, pedestrians must cross the street TWICE. (Once being across a high off-ramp!) There should be a painted crosswalk across 2nd, or a sidewalk on the northern side of 2nd near the VA War Memorial.
