Description

Construction trucks from the site at the apartment complex down the block, are currently blocking access to West 46th Street with their construction equipment and our impacting traffic on Dunston avenue, the only two ways out of that apartment complex and they're actually impacting traffic flow through the neighborhood. This is a routine issue, parking construction trucks on a residential road, that isn't even affiliated with the construction.

A field investigation was conducted by City staff in response to the complaint. During the inspection, staff reviewed conditions along West 46th Street and the surrounding area and obtained photographic documentation. At the time of the inspection, no construction vehicles, equipment, or traffic conditions were observed that were blocking access to the roadway or creating traffic flow issues. The roadways were found to be open and passable, and no maintenance of traffic concerns or right-of-way violations were observed. While the reported conditions could not be verified during the site visit, the City appreciates residents bringing concerns to our attention and will maintain a record of the complaint should additional information become available.
