Description
There needs to be a sign and pavement markings to help bicyclists cross Westover Hills Blvd before they get to the bridge going north. The bike lane just ends with no further indication that the protected path is on the west side of the bridge. There is a marked crosswalk north of the bridge but nothing on the south.

Comments
- Staff · April 16, 2026Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention regarding bicycle access along Westover Hills Blvd near the bridge. We understand the issue you described with the bike lane ending on the south side of the bridge and the lack of clear signage or pavement markings directing bicyclists to the shared-use path on the west side. We also recognize the concern about the absence of a marked crossing on the south side to help facilitate that transition. This type of issue involves traffic control and roadway design elements such as signage, pavement markings, and bicycle facility transitions. We have forwarded your concern to our Transportation Engineering team for review to determine if improvements can be made at this location. They will evaluate the existing conditions and consider potential enhancements to improve clarity and safety for bicyclists. We appreciate you taking the time to report this and help improve safety in the community.
