Description

I have almost been hit by a car several times around west 24th and mcdonough. People park their cars on one side of mcdonough, which causes people to make a wide turn onto mcdonough when they are taking a right turn. There needs to be a 4 way stop at thst intersection and both mcdonough and west 24th need to be one way streets. This will be especially impprtant with the imcrease of traffic from apartments. Additionally, mcdonough needs a sidewalk!

The Department of Public Works must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before proposing an all-way stop. This is a federal publication that applies to all streets open to public travel. Warrants in the MUTCD must be met. The intersection of W. 24th St and McDonough St and does not meet the traffic conditions set forth in the MUTCD for an all-way stop. Forwarded a request for sidewalks on McDonough St between W. 25th St and W. 22nd St. to the Department of Public Works’ Capital Improvement Plan Coordinator for consideration in the next Capital Improvement Plan. The intersection of W. 24th St and McDonough St will be reviewed for No Parking sign needs.
