Description
I just witnessed a father with 2 kids, walking IN a crosswalk of Jefferson Avenue. While walking in the westbound lane of the crosswalk, 3 separate vehicles sped past the family in the eastbound lane. Flashing pedestrian cross signals, like on Dock St, are necessary for pedestrian and vehicular safety along Jefferson Ave. Despite being requested as part of the Jefferson Ave CIP, the request was denied. Its evident they’re needed and should be added for safety, especially given recent events.
