Comments
- Staff · March 5, 2026Following your concern regarding sidewalk conditions at 801 N. 23rd St. we have been in communication with the business regarding this matter. DPW has provided the business with guidance on the City’s encroachment permit application process should no prior permit documentation be located. This includes submitting an encroachment permit application, a scaled plan showing the layout of the outdoor seating area, documentation from the property owner, and maintaining an unobstructed pedestrian pathway that meets ADA accessibility requirements. The business has acknowledged these requirements and has indicated that they will begin preparing the necessary application materials. DPW will continue to monitor the situation and review any submittal to ensure compliance with City standards for pedestrian safety and accessibility within the public right-of-way. Thank you again for bringing this issue forward.
