DPW has reviewed the location in coordination with our Sidewalk/CIP team. Based on field observations, the issue appears to be related to the temporary traffic control setup associated with the sidewalk construction project. Specifically, the “Sidewalk Closed” signage and fencing may be positioned in a way that limits pedestrian access along Marshall Street more than intended. The Capital Projects Manager has advised that the signage and fencing should be set back approximately 10 feet to allow for continued pedestrian access. If the setup remains in its current position, adjustments will be made to shift the signage and improve access. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention, particularly with respect to pedestrian safety and accessibility. Please feel free to reach out if conditions do not improve or if you observe additional concerns.
