- Staff · March 9, 2026Thank you for sharing your concern. Traffic signals along corridors like Cary Street are coordinated to help manage traffic flow and balance movement for vehicles, pedestrians, and cross streets. In some cases, a signal may change shortly after another to safely accommodate traffic on intersecting streets. We appreciate residents bringing potential issues to our attention. Our traffic engineering team continually reviews signal timing and makes adjustments when needed to improve operations and safety. We will take a look at the timing at 7th and Cary and 9th and Cary to ensure it is operating as intended. Thank you for helping us improve the transportation system for everyone.
