Description
This address is for First Presbyterian Church and Preschool which is located where Cary Street reduces to two lanes so Cary Street is wider where the crosswalk is located. Students of the preschool and members of the church are at risk trying to get cars to stop given the current signage is not adequate. We need a better solution to grab the attention of drivers so that people are noticed in the crosswalk.

- Staff · January 14, 2026The existing crosswalk on Cary St at Lock Lane has pedestrian crossing warning signs in advance and at the crosswalk in both directions. Flashing lights is a capital improvement and not in the adopted Capital Improvement Budget. Staff will field check for any signing or marking maintenance needs.
