Description

Intersection of LAKEVIEW and ADDISON: we desperarely need a 3 way stop for cars. Too many accidents and misunderstandings between drivers. Lots of confusion. It looks line there were stop signs there at one point. This is HIGH pedestrian area and 30+ kids cross this street daily to go to LHJ elementary school. Note: site says to use SIGNS category but the signs category says to use alternative links but those links arent there so im posting under this category - apologies!

DPW must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. All-way stops are not planned at the intersection of Lakeview Ave and S. Addison St because it does not meet the MUTCD traffic volume requirements.
