Description
The 1800 block of idlewood often has fast cars driving down the street. Cars get side swiped, my car has been side swiped twice since july & other people on the streets have gotten their cars side swiped. There are a lot of children on our block 2/3 school buses stop on our street twice a day & children are always playing outside. I’m requesting there be a speed bump & a watch for children sign installed on the block. Petronius Jones park is on the next block & 2 speed bumps are on that block.

- Staff · November 20, 20251800 Idlewood Ave is located between Meadow St and Allen Ave. Idlewood Ave traffic stops at both Meadow St and at Allen Ave. The average speed between these two intersections measured 17mph in the 25mph zone. The speed samples show general compliance with the 25-mph speed zone and speed tables are not planned. The use of “Children at Play” type signs is discouraged by state and federal transportation departments. These signs also may give families a false sense of security.
