Description

Construction company put up hazard tape and is illegal blocking the sidewalk in front of 819 Albemarle st with construction debris. They don't have the required permit by city ordinance to close the sidewalk and don't have the required signage posted. Pedestrians have to walk out into the middle of the street without any visibility of oncoming traffic due to parked cars so somewhat of a serious safety issue.

    Thank you for bringing the sidewalk concern at 819 Albemarle Street to our attention. Our Right-of-Way Inspector conducted a follow-up inspection, and I wanted to confirm that the materials and caution tape previously obstructing the sidewalk have been removed. As of the most recent site visit, the sidewalk and ADA ramp are clear and accessible, and no further safety hazards were observed.We appreciate your assistance in helping us keep the City’s rights-of-way safe and accessible for all residents.
