Description
This block needs traffic calming assessment. There have been 3 hit-and-run incidents within the last 2 months. Our cars are being hit all the time and we have to repair and replace them. Last year there was at least 2 incidents as well. PLEASE do another assessment that is NOT in front of 611 Bancroft Ave. This home is a thoroughfare for there family and the traffic and speed data will be skewed if done there again.

Comments
- Staff · October 6, 2025Cityworks ID: 568176
- Staff · October 7, 2025The average speed on Bancroft Ave between Richmond Henrico Turnpike and Meadowbridge Rd measured 16mph. The DMV crash records for the latest five years data (1.1.21 – 10.1.25) revealed one reported crash. The speed samples show general compliance with a residential speed limit and speed tables are not planned. The City has contracted with Urban SDK, a system of record for government infrastructure operations, planning and development. Urban SDK lets us obtain data under a geospatial data analysis platform making it very easy and quick to obtain traffic information. After hitting the below RVA link then hit “The City of Richmond Interactive Citywide Speed Data”. Then search your street address. The speed data should be available for viewing. https://www.rva.gov/public-works/vision-zero
