Description
Due to the increased traffic on Brookland Parkway traffic between Arthur Ashe and Robin Hood Roads, traffic has increased dramatically on Wentbridge Road in the morning and after school/evening. Those using Wentbridge Road during these hours drive noticeably faster than residents on the street.

- Staff · October 1, 2025The average speed on Wentworth Rd ranged between 15mph and 28mph in the 25mph zone. The speed sample is in general compliance with speeds for a residential street. A speed table is not planned. DPW can make traffic control changes at the intersection of Wentbridge Rd and Loxley Rd. This would result in installing stop signs on Wentbridge and removing the Yield signs on Loxley. This should help with cut-through traffic concerns on Wentbridge between Hermitage Rd and Robin Hood Rd. Support from the neighborhood and City Council Rep is needed before DPW will make the signing changes.
