Description
WE NEED YIELD SIGNS HERE on the islands, for NB and SB Lombardy - at least 50% of everyone making left turns just whips a "hail mary" left turn before they can actually see the oncoming traffic. This would not be the legal move whether this was a circle OR a regular intersection. It's extremely dangerous here. Every time I come through this intersection, somebody is suddenly appearing in front me. People just assume that's what they're supposed to do, because there's no sign.

- Staff · January 15, 2026The traffic signal timing is coordinated with an entire system. It allows enough time for a person to stage their crossing midblock. Virginia Law states that drivers must yield to oncoming traffic when in the intersection. No new signage will be installed.
