Description

I am requesting a speed bump on Briel St between 35th and 36th. The sidewalk is overgrown with brush, forcing pedestrians to walk in the street. With vehicles frequently speeding, this creates a serious safety hazard for residents, especially children and seniors. A speed bump would help slow traffic and protect pedestrians until the sidewalk can be cleared.

The average speed on Briel St ranged between 6 mph and 12 mph. The speed samples show general compliance with speeds for a residential street. A speed table is not planned. Your request was sent to the appropriate person in DPW to address the overgrowth on the sidewalk.
