- Staff · September 16, 2025The average speed on Berkshire Rd (about 400 vehicles during a typical weekday for 24 hours) between Avon Rd and Dover Rd measured 20mph in a 25mph zone. A speed table is not planned. The Department of Public Works (DPW) doesn’t have individual speeds for school buses so you may want to contact the school about speeding school buses. DPW must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. This is a federal publication that applies to all streets open to public travel. Berkshire Rd as it intersects with Avon Rd does not meet the MUTCD traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop. The intersection of Berkshire Rd and Dover Rd also does not meet the MUTCD traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop.
