Description
Citizen is reporting this intersection is extremely dangerous, especially now with new house construction at 400 S Stafford Ave. Ideally, a caution/stop light with speed table would be ideal to slow traffic. Another consideration is to block off Idlewood Ave permanently. previous ticket was closed out DPW000206893

- Staff · September 9, 2025DMV had no reported crashes for the latest eight-year period (1.1.17 – 12.31.24) at the intersection of Grayland Ave/Stafford Ave/Idlewood Ave. The average speed on Grayland Ave between Davis Ave and Addison St measured 26mph in the 25mph zone. Speed tables are not planned. A caution / stop light are capital improvements and not in the adopted FY26 City Budget. An engineer will field review and determine the intersection sight distance at Grayland Ave and Stafford Ave. Also, this request was forwarded to the CPW Chief of Construction and Inspections to investigate.
