Description
This is in reference to my previous request for tree pruning. The trees are overgrown on the whole block. They are covering the power lines, which is a problem on windy days and when there is a storm. According to Cityworks ID: 562695, the trees do not require pruning. I've attached photos indicating that the trees are overgrown and infringing on the power line. In addition, the inspector mentioned 1207. In my request, it was 1214 N 37th Street. All of the trees on the block need service.

Comments
- Staff · September 2, 2025Cityworks ID: 565899
- Staff · November 6, 2025Previous request was closed because growth did not affect public ROW (Right-Of-Way). Urban Forestry does not maintain "aerial right-of-way" around power lines. This is up to either Dominion (service lines) or Public Utilities (streetlights). Inspection should determine which agency is most likely responsible.
- Staff · November 17, 2025Conducted site insp to determine if this is Dominion or DPU. Appears 2B Dominion based on service connections to houses
- Staff · November 17, 2025Called requestor to explain findings. Advised that Dominion maintains trees on a schedule, but she can call them if concerned
