Description
Please provide a 25mph speed limit sign with $200 additional fine near the churches at Clearfield and Bryce on Clearfield Street. Some cars are going over 55mph on Clearfield Street and the speed bump in place is pretty much non-existent and flat which is not serving it’s purpose.

- Staff · August 27, 2025Enhanced speeding penalty fine sign signs of $200 are approved by a City Council Resolution pursuant to City Code Section 27-163 - Enhanced speeding penalty on certain residential streets; signs. Both Bryce St and Clearfield St do not qualify for these signs because the City has not determined that the 85th percentile speed on such street is ten miles per hour greater than the posted speed limit. The 85th percentile speed on Bryce Lane between Hull St and Powell Rd measured 29mph in a 30mph zone. The 85th percentile speed on Clearfield St between Linwood Ave and Limestone Dr measured 19mph in a 25mph zone.
