Description
This is a follow-up to Cityworks ID 563767. The “study” was marked complete in under 48 hrs, with no detail on when/where/how data was collected. The speed study link shows no usable data. We request full transparency: Was a new study done? If so, when and how? Please provide raw data and clarify methodology. Our community is concerned about safety and prepared to escalate this if dismissed again. Everyone on this street has Ring/Blink cameras and can attest that the average speed is not 14mph

- Staff · August 11, 2025The City has contracted with Urban SDK, a system of record for government infrastructure operations, planning and development. Urban SDK lets us obtain data under a geospatial data analysis platform making it very easy and quick to obtain traffic information. That’s why we can obtain speed and other traffic data quickly and you won’t see traffic/speed tubes on the street. After hitting the below RVA link then hit “The City of Richmond Interactive Citywide Speed Data”. Then search your street address. The speed data should be available for viewing. https://www.rva.gov/public-works/vision-zero
