thank you again for submitting your concern regarding the sidewalk condition at 2000 Semmes Avenue. Following your 311 complaint, our inspection team visited the site and confirmed that the sidewalk had been filled with loose stone material and was not properly safeguarded for pedestrian use. At the time of inspection, no protective barriers or signage were in place, and the permit associated with the work had expired. In response to this, the City contacted the responsible parties and required immediate corrective action. As of now, a valid permit has been issued, and the area has since been properly blocked off to prevent unsafe pedestrian access. The contractor has also confirmed that they will be implementing the established Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan, which includes proper signage, barriers, and detour routing as approved by DPW. We appreciate your vigilance in reporting this concern. Your complaint helped us take swift enforcement action to ensure the safety of all sidewalk users. Our inspectors will continue to monitor the site for compliance moving forward. Please feel free to reach out if you notice any further issues.
