Description

I have seen numerous accidents at the corner of Parkwood and Allen, and have witnessed countless near accidents (or heard the honking- that’s all the time). People go flying down Parkwood, too. I’ve literally felt my car move when I’m sitting in it and a car speeds by at a dangerous speed for a residential road. This stretch needs speed bumps on Parkwood before Allen and before Granby. It’s ridiculous and infuriating how people drive on this road and those of us who live on it need your help!

Parkwood is functionally classified as an Urban Collector carrying around 2,000 vehicles a day and a strategic route for emergency vehicles. The average speed on Parkwood Ave between Temple St and S. Granby St measured 22 mph. Speed tables are not currently planned. No parking signs exist on Parkwood Ave east of S. Allen Ave at about 40’ east of the crosswalk to enhance intersection sight distance.
