Description
I implore the city of Richmond to think critically and reassess the traffic coming through Sauer’s Garden since the Flagstop Car Wash opened on the corner of Sauer and West Broad. Someone will be hit a car & I will pull my tickets to show the city’s negligence. I watch high school students from Thomas Jefferson jogging, parents pushing strollers, kids riding bikes - and drivers blatantly running the stop signs and speeding. Add a speed bump. This is insanity. Contact me with an explanation.

Grace St and Monument Ave. The average speed on Sauer Ave between Broad St and Monument Ave measured 14 mph in a 25mph zone. The DMV crash records for the latest eight years data (1.1.17 – 12.31.24) did not reveal any reported crashes along Sauer Ave between Broad St and Monument Ave. Traffic calming measures such as speed tables are not currently planned on Sauer Ave given all the stopped conditions along the corridor, no reported crashes, and the speed samples.
