Description

A large fungal growth has been expanding at the base of the oak for some time. It appeared last fall and has doubled in size since early summer. From a Google search it looks like Inonotus Dryadeus, a root rot common to oak trees. Two pics attached, with one as my foot for scale. Several dead branches of various sizes throughout the tree at various heights and we occasionally find large ones in the yard and street. Wish to have the tree inspected to see if it is healthy or not. Thank you.
