Description
Just reiterating how unsafe and non pedestrian friendly this stretch of McCloy is between idlewood and Maplewood. There are constant screeching tires of near misses and people doing burnouts. The “crosswalks” on McCloy are barely visible and you would hardly know this is a pedestrian residential area. Cars blast off from the off ramp crossing mccloy to rosewood speeding as they enter the neighborhood. Car’s tire’s screech as they turn left from Mccloy headed towards powhite. Please help us.

- Staff · July 15, 2025The latest eight years of DMV crash data (1.1.17– 12.31.24) did not reveal any reported pedestrian crashes along McCloy St between Idlewood Ave and Maplewood Ave. Sidewalks are available on both sides of McCloy St in this same street section with crosswalks at Rosewood Ave and at Maplewood Ave. DPW staff will field review to check the crosswalk visibility.
