Description
citizen is requesting a speed bump in the area due to constant speeding. Citizen would like the assessment completed in front of her home where the speeding mainly occurs if possible.

The 85th percentile speed samples on Stratford Rd between Cherokee Rd and Custis Rd measured 25 mph. The average speed was 23 mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned. The average speed in front of 4432 Stratford Rd measured 22 mph. (*The 85th percentile speed is the speed at or below which 85 percent of the drivers will operate with open roads and favorable conditions. The assumption underlying the 85th percentile speed is that most drivers will operate their vehicle at speeds they perceive to be safe.)
