Description
At 6 Points Innovation Center there are various youth programs that are hosted throughout the year. The speeding of cars in the roundabout in front of the building has been very dangerous and problematic. We have a number of youth who use the crosswalks at the roundabout when walking from home or getting on/off GRTC buses- I have witnessed my youth be deathly close to being struck by fast moving vehicles and have personally been pushed off the road into the platform structure of the roundabout.

- Staff · June 16, 2025The use of “Slow children crossing” signs is discouraged by state and federal transportation departments. These signs also may give families a false sense of security. DPW will field review and make sure all pedestrian warning signs are present and visible at the roundabout. Your RVA 311 request about speeding was sent to a Lieutenant with the Richmond Police Dept.
