Description
There are many accidents at this corner when drivers take a left onto Broad Street from 21st. Our school has over 150 students. We have been almost hit by vehicles more than once while trying to take a left before the light changes. It's only a matter of time. There is no protected left turn light from N. 21st onto E. Broad, but it is a high-traffic area. Designated pedestrian areas and school zone signs would be beneficial for our children and neighbors in the community who live in this area.

- Staff · February 19, 2026Dear Citizen, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention regarding the intersection of N. 21st Street and E. Broad Street. A work order has been created to install a “Left Turn Yield on Green” sign on the mast arm facing northbound N. 21st Street. Please note that a “Children Crossing” sign is already in place on N. 21st Street. We will continue to monitor the area for any additional safety needs. Thank you again for reaching out.
