Description
The left lane going Southbound on Hamilton veers onto 195 or continues straight. Cars frequently cut across from the right lane (that goes straight towards Monument only) to take the highway ramp, effectively cutting off those following road markings already in the left lane who are either continuing straight or merging onto the highway. Requesting that white traffic poles or some other barrier be applied, OR left lane widened to prevent cars from entering the highway from the right lane.

- Staff · June 2, 2025Hamilton St will be field reviewed as a 2025 Google Street view shows the pavement marking arrows and centerline need to be remarked. The latest three-year DMV crash data does not show any reported “sideswipe-same direction” type crashes. A traffic barrier between the travel lanes is not currently planned.
