- Staff · May 30, 2025The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. Hanover Ave between Thompson St and Sheppard St measures about 3,100 and motorists stop at Thompson St, Nansemond St, Roseneath Rd, Tilden St, Cleveland St, Belmont Ave and Sheppard St. So, motorists stop about every 500’. Speed tables are not currently planned.
