Description

Parking on this steep part of Accomac has gotten worse. People are parking abandoned vehicles on boths sides, narrowing the lanes which are heavily used for public transit. People drive very fast up accomac as a cut through. We would like to see parking eliminated at least on one but possibly both sides of the street to make it safer.

DPW is planning to install No Parking signs along the west side of Accomac St between Jennie Scher St and about 250’ south of Jennie Scher St. Traffic calming on Accomac St is not planned given average speed samples. They were 16mph between Jennie Scher Rd and Bunn Ave and 20mph between Bunn Ave and Luray Ave.
