- Staff · November 17, 2025Thank you for the information regarding the two damaged runs of guardrail on Cherokee Road between Wakefield and Stratford. After review, our Traffic Engineering team has determined that these sections of guardrail are no longer necessary based on current roadway conditions and traffic patterns. Instead of repairing the existing guardrail, we will be removing both runs and replacing them with roadside delineators. This approach meets current safety guidance and will provide clear visual guidance for drivers without the need for guardrail in this location. The work is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
