Description

There's a lot of accidents at this intersection. People fly by on Bainbridge, and there's very little visibility for cars coming off of 15th Street to safely turn. Either a all way stop sign is needed or a traffic light.

DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop or a traffic signal. The intersection of Bainbridge St and 14th St does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop or for a traffic signal. No parking zones are on both sides of Bainbridge St at 14th St eastbound (i.e., a No Parking sign on the north side and a fire hydrant (no parking by law) on the south side). These measures enhance the intersection sight distance. No changes in traffic controls are planned at this time.
