- System · April 28, 2025Citizen also added if the stop sign cant be placed then a speed limit sign need to placed in the area.
- Staff · April 29, 2025DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of Lasalle Dr and Lamar Dr does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop. The Manual for Uniformed Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) contains the national standards governing all traffic control devices. All public agencies with roads open to public travel across the nation rely on the MUTCD to bring uniformity to the roadway. The use of “Children at play” type signs is discouraged by state and federal transportation departments. These signs also may give families a false sense of security. These signs do not describe where the child might be. The March 2025 Google Street view shows posted 25mph signs in each direction on Lasalle Drive between Deter Rd and Labrook Dr.
