- Staff · July 11, 2025DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of Kensington Ave and Nansemond St does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop. Google Street view shows crosswalks on each leg and stop signs and stop bars on Nansemond. Field staff have visited the site and made sure the stop signs are in good condition and visible to the motoring public. They will expand the No Parking zones on Kensington to enhance intersection sight distance.
