Description

Please add a blinky be-boop pedestrian crossing light to this intersection to alert cars of crossing pedestrians! With all the new commercial activity here, we need greater visibility for pedestrians in the new crosswalk. There are a lot of fast cars at this area of forest hill and pedestrians need to be able to cross safely in that walk.

The Manual for Uniformed Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) contains the national standards governing all traffic control devices. All public agencies with roads open to public travel across the nation rely on the MUTCD to bring uniformity to the roadway. Flashing pedestrian lights are a capital expense and is not in the adopted FY25 Capital Improvement Plan. Today pedestrian signal indications exist at the nearby Forest Hill Ave and Westover Hills Blvd intersection.
