Description
Crazy traffic again today. Despite shared data from RVA field engineer in previous reporting, Wilmington Ave remains dangerous. Drivers speed between stop signs to avoid the new light. Often times running through the stop signs. Many families with small children live here, and we’ve seen near misses. Average speed doesn’t reflect peak-hour behavior. We urgently request traffic calming like speed tables—waiting to monitor isn’t enough. Please reconsider.

- Staff · May 6, 2025In responding to your April 25th RVA311 request, speed tables are not planned on Wilmington Ave as shared earlier. This request and your April 11th RVA311 request were sent to the Laburnum/Hermitage project manager. They wanted to continue monitoring through field visits during peak hour operations and make changes as needed.
