Description

Big pedestrian crossing area from the greenway and bus stop with little signage alerting drivers pedestrians may be in the road. Many cars are going fast down Brookland Park Blvd and there are hills on either side of the intersection, giving drivers little time to see a pedestrian crossing the wide road. It would feel much safer to cross if there was a flashing pedestrian crossing installed on BP Blvd and the greenway.

Pedestrian crossing warning signs exist now in advance and at the crossing on Brookland Park Blvd at Richmond Henrico Turnpike. Flashing lights are a capital expense and is not in the adopted FY25 Capital Improvement Plan.
