Description
Traffic goes far too fast on S street in both directions going and coming from 31st street. There was a serious accident on this intersection a week ago and there are no sidewalks or crossings on much of the lettered streets over here. Density has increased and a coffee shop is opening, this is a dangerous place to drive and walk.

- Staff · April 9, 2025S Street was reviewed between Oakwood Ave and 25th St. S St coming from Oakwood heading West has a horizontal curve but has curve warning signs present in both directions. Also present are 25mph signs along S St, a speed table between 33rd St and 34th St and a traffic circle at 31st St. The average speed samples on S St between Oakwood Ave and 31st St measured 19mph. The average speed samples on S St between 31st St and 25th St measured 17mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and additional traffic calming measures are not planned at this time.
