Description

Last week one of our neighborhood kids was clipped by a speeding vehicle while riding his bike around E Blake and McRand. This is a request to install speed tables along E Blake and 32nd between Hull and Midlothian to reduce speeding and protect the kids in our neighborhood and those that attend the school.

    Blake Lane between Hull St and Midlothian Turnpike has a speed table at approximately 112 Blake Lane. Also, a curve warning sign with an advisory speed of 15mph exists at approximately 109 Blake Lane. The average speed samples on Blake in this same area measured 17 mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and additional speed tables are not planned at this time. 32nd St between Hull St and Midlothian Turnpike has a speed table at approximately 20 32nd St. Also, two curve warning signs exists at approximately 38 32nd St. The average speed samples on 32nd St in this same area measured 17mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and additional speed tables are not planned at this time.
